    Default Pure Highway DAB Radio

    Hi,

Has anyone else used or got one of the above?

If so, what are they like to use?

Do you get good reception and do they work well with Ipod's etc?

    Thanks in advance.

if they're anything like the fm transmitter type ipod docks that you get i'd be wary. the sound quality is poop. although you'll prob still get a better sound from radio 5 than you do on AM!!

I've got one installed in my sunglasses holder, I only use it to listen to 5 live and talksport, and it works fine for me. Not had a problem with reception at all. I don't have an ipod, so don't know about that.

I was thinking of this also but the more I read the less I am convinced. The reports i have read state problems with reception and a;so the mount breaking after a couple of months. Reception can be improved with a upgraded magnetic roof aerial but at another £20+. I have been seriously thinking of an Accustic Solutions ICS100 from dabonwheels its a totally integrated system with aerial upgrade for £60.

It's a damn good bit of kit, although it's fiddly to set up/use, but it is very resistant to interference. Uses a standard stereo jack socket for input sources like MP3 and has a windscreen mounted aerial.
