    Default Green Growler's Marquee

GG, is your big gazebo large enough to drive a car inside and work on/around it?

    Just had a brainwave.

If it is, we could organize a series of 'How 2s' and Masterclasses during the daytime on Saturday.

Mark (GSI3.2) is I dare say, going to be doing a few bits and pieces to various cars knowing him

We could have some of the detailing enthusiasts demonstrating some of the tricks of the trade etc.

Of course by the evening, if it's next to GSi Towers, it can be used as the beer tent

    Thoughts?

the detailing stuff may be hard if its too hot ie you get very poor results. Good idea but may be better on a more casual basis? and leave the gazeebo for hiding from the sun

That's why I thought of the gazebo, bit of shade for the detailers.

its the heat that causes the problems as much as anything. The stuff just melts onto the car and is rock hard to get off. In the sun youve got the added annoyance of it going treaky too lol. Best off doing it early morning or early evening.

Mind you, if its anything like the billings ive been too, the heat gets so hot you just dont want to move anyway let alone detail someones car lol

Lol, yeah I guess you could get a car (or 2) in it, it's 3X9M, same width as a standard gazebo, but three times as long. (depends who's driving mind, but I wont mention any names )
I have no objections, but as Andy said, I would expect it to be more use to us for hiding from the sun or the thunder storms. (we're having a corker right now)
Next to GSi towers would be ideal, as that's where the rest of our amenities are, lol.

Well I hope we can pull it off, the sooner people can get there the better, the more chance we stand.

the darker shaded areas contain the hook ups. The feilds on the left and middle are the show fields. I think if we aim to bag the spot to the left edge of the any of the shaded zones we will ok, preferably under the trees if its a scorcher as it can get very unpleasent in the pounding sun with no shade (plus im thinking of my 14mth old who i dont want frazzled). Quite far from the show but not too far and certainly quiet enough that we will get some sleep on a night. A spot reight next to the showers/wcs isnt the best though as we will get people coming and going all night.
