    Default Wiring problems! Grrrr

    Hi guys,

    Just bought a 2005 vectra sri with CD70 head unit and want to run an amp but no pre outs.

    I have bought an autoleads line converter to get the pre outs however I cant figure out which wire is earth, everywhere i have looked says its black but there is no black wire! Can anyone help??

    Also when i get past this obsticle and wire up the amp i dnt know which wire to wire the remote to, and ideas??

    any ignition live would do for the amp remote,lighter/accesory socket etc

    On Vauxhalls,

    Earth is Brown
    Permanent or battery live is Red

    and the Ignition Lives are Black

    Let us know which amp you are running, and which year of Vectra-C or Signum it is going in...

    .the audio conector plug changed in October 2004 from the old style ISO plug to the modern Quadlock with flip-over latch mechanism.
    The wiring positions changed between ISO and quadlock.
    some early 2005 cars had ISO.

    cheers guys might have another look later if i got time, its a 2005 facelift model and its got the Quadlock with flip-over latch mechanism.

    Gonna be running a mutant amp & sub, nothin special just nice to have tht extra bit of bass :-)
