I've got an 06 facelift vectra elite with factory fitted bluetooth phone kit which has developed a fault.
It worked fine until my alternator died, and sat for a couple of weeks with no battery connected.
I noticed when I dropped the car off at the garage for repair that when I took the key out of the ignition, the colour screen did not turn off, and since then the phone kit has not worked.
Initially the phone icon was missing from the header section of the screen, it still had 4 boxes, but the phone icon had gone. Because the screen would not turn off with the ignition, I disconnected the battery overnight to get it to switch off. Next time I connected the battery, the phone icon was back, but when I tried to search for devices it would do nothing.
Over a couple of days I realised that sometimes it would show no phone kit present, sometimes it would detect the kit, but on the phone screen would only show the signal bars and no operator name, and sometimes it would say 'No Phone' and would not search for one.
Rather than drop the battery off everytime, I realised after I switched off the ignition I could pull a fuse which fed the screen, and reset it that way.
Ultimately though, I have removed the bluetooth module and since then the screen has gone off fine with the ignition, so it does seem to me to be a bluetooth module problem.
(I did also try reinstalling just to see if it was a loose connection, but the fault came straight back.)
Has anyone out there come across this problem before, if so what was the fix?
