hi all what fault code reader for 2006 1.9 cdti 150 should i buy and roughly how much and where from.
thinking of buying one to erase some faults before paying the dealers

ive got the u480... reads engine faults and you can reset something... think it was the EML. basic bit of kit but works fine on my facelift cdti so should work on yours too!

As long as it's OBJ2 compatible then the reader will work with your veccy. As for price, depends on what functions you need. If it's basic Scan, Read, Explain and Clear then you should be able to pick one up for under £60.

As you're an 'up country' type , I doubt you will have heard of Trago Mills. I managed to get a decent reader + cd with code details for £40 about a month ago.
