    Default Washers

Think this is in the right section...

My washers havent been working for a while now so did a search and found the little gromit thats usually blocked up... But when i pulled it out it seems the bright spark of a previous owner decided it would be a good idea to cut the filter part of it off

I then ran the pump from a bucket and its only just poring a little water out the washers so it is still working but is there any way i can try and clear the gunk out? would filling the bucket with boiling water then using the boiling water clear out the gunk or not?

Any and all help will be much appreciated!

Firstly, disconnect the pipes at the jet end and pump and blow down them 'the right way' to see if they are blocked, if not then blow through the pump 'the wrong way' and see if anything blows out. You won't be able to blow much through the pipes 'the wrong way' unless you disconnect any one way valves that are fitted.
