    Unhappy de-badged

    iv'e spent 2 days cleaning the car and during that iv'e de-badged the big rear griffin badge BUT it seems were iv'e taken the badge off it's a different shade to the rest of boot, iv'e used autoglym resin polish, wd40,some other stuff and i cant seem to get it right,also there seems to be a lip round were the badge whent.
    so whats the next step to getting it right.

    the only real way is to get some cutting compound,i.e: Farecla G3,sue a drop of water so i flows better then finish off with some wax or finishing glaze. It sounds like you may of been victim to someone spraying the panel out and not bothering to remove the badge. if thats the case then you are stuck with the results unless you refit a badge or have the panel sprayed again. If there is a body shop close to you they may be able to lend you some cutting paste or advise you what is best or maybe you could post some pictures upIt really doesnt take long to do a job correctly, its such a pity your stuck with this now. What colour is the car??? silver i take it, then they may have blown the edge in and then laquered the whole panel out to loose the paint edge.
