Default Anyone used one of these FUEL SAVER IONISER

Seen this on Ebay, and was wondering if anyone has seen or used one before? Is it worth getting, £18.75.

Its a FUEL IONISER. You connect it to your fuel intake pipe, and it ionises the fuel as it passes through it making it burn more efficiently, therefore using less fuel, and keeping engine cleaner.

Simple magnetic device. Can't see it working to be honest. Independant test could be useful though ?????? Are you offering???

If they truly worked, why wouldn't car manufacturers fit them as standard to make the performance and fuel economy numbers better in the brochure???

The graphs etc in the Ebay auction are almost meaningless, as they offer no proof that fitting this device was the only change, and the difference in numbers of HP and TQ are so close as to be in the error of the instrumentation, or other normal test to test variation.

I work for an engine manufacturer as a development manager, so know a little about engine combustion, performance, and emissions.

This device has yet to convince me.

Exactly. Tried a similar thing on a lorry a couple of years ago, load of cr@p. Made no difference whatsoever.

We have a customer who has one fitted to his car, strangely enough his car is getting lower MPG than it should.......total waste of time IMO.

Sounds a bit like the one we tried.

I wish I could remember what it was called.

    Magic Moments....la la lala la.

Same thing with the water things you put on the pipe, ok it might shift the scale, but where's it gonna go? straight out of the tap, if it works at all.
