Default mot comming up ans abs light

right guys my abs light and traction has been on for ages now.
when changing all my bushes etc i went round all the connectors and wd40'd it but made no diff, i have the passenger side bearing changed as i was told that was the problem but it didnt solve the problem.

it started in the cold weather when i was driving to my work i didnt notice the light was on untill i got their, i went into my work and came out thens started the car and the light was out, then it came on again and stayed on.

the garage told me it was either that side as it was showing no signal or sumthing or the abs unit was gubbed.

the only problem i have is it needs to be vauxhall to tell me the real problem and if it is the abs unit then it needs to be vauxhall who program it in!
    so could be expensive.

i checked the plugs in the engine bay and nothing unusualo.

    any suggestions?

Doesn't have to be Vauxhall. Most garages these days have code readers and will do it for a fraction that Vauxhall want.

Hi mate, try checking the wiring to n/s/f again, vectras are quite prone to water ingress between the connector inside the wheelarch and the hub. If you strip back the outer cabling you will prob find there is a corroded bit about half way along, you will know it when you see it cos it will probably be a bit green. HTH.
