    Default roof monitor/dvd player

    rite guys i was thinking of pos getting a roof monitor/dvd player here is my q was thinking of fitting it where my int light/ and sunglases bit is now if i did would it throw a fault code? with no int light fitted it has built in twin dome lites i dont know if they are leds dont think they are so i was thinking of using the exsisting int light wires and a 12v feed to power the dvd if i can if not the int lite feed would be just not conected any 1 done this? and did it throw a fault bulb code?

    Interior lights don't throw a fault code.

    Regarding the rating to the dvd player, I couldn't honestly tell you if the wires are of a large enough gauge to supply the current rating your dvd requires.

    Ordinarily, even on the higher spec light units....2 x map lights and 2 x main dome lights will not chew a massive current.

    Best course of action is to run your power from the rear fuse board - see how 2's for power socket in the boot / load area of an estate for the suitable location of a power feed point.

    cheers robsey i was just wondering as i didnt want to get a bulb out on the display as im thinking of buying 1 and i dont want to start ripping the cd70 out hence the roof mounted dvd player with built in speaker a ing live from the back of the dash some where will do the power side

    The OE one goes in between the headrests, just in front of the rear courtesy lights. I have an aftermarket one fitted there, just ran wires down A and C pillar for power and AV cables.
