    Default Need some new tyres

Hi folks. Got a nail in one of my tyres and got another one down to 3mm. Was thinking of changing them for a pair of Falken ZE912 tyres. Was wondering if anyone knows what they are like. I'm sticking with the standard 215/50 R17W size as the other two have still got 5mm on them and got my first MOT due soon.

Ive always been happy with Falkens, you can go upto to 224 45's to save a few quid and still be ok for MOT, try http://www.camskill.co.uk/ to buy the tyres.

Another option would be the Khumo KU31. A little more expensive but don't know if it will be worth it?

Just had Vredstein Sessantas put on and they seem very good indeed.

I would suggest thinking about moving to 225/45s for a better choice and price. There's no problems in running those and 215/50s together, obviously matched pairs front and rear!

(listen to me sounding like i know what i'm talking about, when in reality this was a question i asked a few weeks ago.........god bless this forum.....and all who sail in her)

Thanks guys. Anyone know if the ride quality would suffer if I went to the 225/45s? The ride on the Sri is quite hard as it is and I don't know if the lower profile might be a bit harder.

I had the 912s on my old 3.0 and they were fine, but that car needed XL rated tyres, which yours doesn't. You might find XLs a little hard, but they are a good tyre IMHO

Uniroyal Rainsports are what I bought, excellent.

Also looked at Hankook V12 Evos, a lot of people I know run those.
