Steamed up headlights! Any tips on solution?

After washing today they really steamed up (facelift)

I've taken back covers off to try let steam out! But still not clear! Guessing cause cold day, hot wash water!

So what would you do? Take covers off? Or leave on? (I mean bulb access covers) also... If this is common fault, can they be re-sealed?

ive used a hair dryer and dried them out and then dropped a silica bag in them they never steamed up again

Leave them off for a day or 2 while running round with the lights on, that should do the trick

Leave the covers off while the car sits parked facing sunlight.

although they are good tips is there a permanant fix for this as i have a problem with just one of them,and are the light unit easy to take out i am a bit reluctant to remove coz of the motorised level thingy

Switch the lights on an drape an old cloth over the headlight unit.
