sump plug on my 2.2 sxi

I`ve bought a vectra c 53 plate 2.2 sxi petrol and i am about to change the oil and filter .A workmate of mine ex (greenhous vauxhall mechanic) reckons there is a rubber ring not a compression washer on the sump plug,is that right?

There usually fine to reuse but its good practice to renew.
