    Question Infinity Speaker Upgrade

    Hi All

Currently waiting to take delivery of my Insignia with upgraded speakers option.

I have however been unable to find out where the subwoofer is installed in the hatchback.

My dealer has not seen one installed yet and advised that they are usually installed on the parcel shelf on the saloon, but is unable to confirm where on the hatcback.

Anyone got some info and possbile pix of one installed in their hatchback ?

    Thanks

It's mounted in the spare wheel well.

Thanks for the info Maverick, much appreaciated.

I take it there are not too many people getting the speaker upgrade, since the dealers I've spoken to so far don't know much about it.

Since I will often have a dog in the boot area, I'm glad to find out it's not just stuck in a box at the back, my pooch would end up eating it !

The SE and Elite's built from early 2009 apparently have the harness in place for the Infinity upgrade, so in theory you could buy the kit and install it, then have the software upgraded.

I would imagine this though would be hellish expensive. I have spoken to our local car ICE store who I have known for years, and they are looking to add a system to mine.

Handy to know , I've ordered
a new elite nav 2.0cdti ecoflex
in White with the infinity speakers.

Can't wait to get my hands on it though it will be at least another 6
weeks to wait for the factory order.

    Cheers

I change my cars every year to 19 months, I am on the opt our scheme from work so it's all covered.

I have just bought an SE NAV Auto, with the SE/Elite 19" Wheels, Plus pack, Park Assist, DVD800 NAVI and bluetooth. I wanted an Elite but could not find one within busget.

But with the SE I have bought, I have only lost the Zenon lights and Electric seat adjustment. Steve as CCS is doing the seat centres to leather before I pick it up so it will be full leather, so saved myself a bucket load over an Elite.

The deal I got is an Elite Nav Ecoflex 2.0 cdti in White for £20232 plus £1250 for options.

From what I see from local dealers this is a hand biter deal !

Yeah, I thought so too, my local dealer couldn't go any lower than £23,500.
