confused cannot get air lock out of Diesel fuel lines

    Hi guys,

    CAR .... 2ltr DTI vectra C 53 plate

I replaced my fuel filter today and now the car wont start. I know i have an air lock .

Checked manual and it states i need a ( KM-948 ) i have done everything to the best of my ability but to no avail.

Could getting my car towed do the trick ??????

Thank you in advance for your help.

Push it down a hill and jump start it lol Worked with our old Vec 2.0DTi
It will force the airlock through.

Or you could try undo the injector pipes just a bit and get someone to start the car for you when you look at the pipes for diesel...

    Thank you for your reply.

My friend has a solid towbar, so he said he would come to mine tomorrow to tow it

Where i live there are no steep hills to go down.

I was wanting to know if i got my car towed if this would do the trick.

So your answer suggests it should work.

Fingers crossed and thanx again , i will report back after we have tried towing and let you know the outcome.

    Kind regards,

    Steve.

Top up the fuel filter bowl, then get hold of one of these...http://www.screwfix.com/search.do;js...n=submit...and prime the system, don't be tempted to keep turning engine over like i did,and was told that this can ruin the fragile pump apparantly.
