    Eek vectra cdti slight miss at 1500rpm

    Hi guys i just notoiced that whilst driving around when the car reaches between 1400-1600 rpm it will miss just millie sec for me to notice, ive had it 4 days and ive driven it slowly (no thrashing), it also hasnt been driven much recently, it performs well, i took it on motorway this evening at it was fine i pulled 130mph then let go, but it pulled well after 100, i was wondering could i change the fuel filter to make it better, or could it be a boost leek apearing, after the motorway it drove perfect but only started again, like i said its only tiny bit noticible it may even be a flat spot but wasnt there when i got it. any advice, also what are the simptoms of swirl flaps being naffed, it pull well if i went off from 1st gear, would the swirl problem show if i had it diagnosed,

    Just do a thread search on here..there are loads of useful threads about the swirl flaps, the egr valve and other minor bits.

    Points of reference are: -
    The EGR Valve
    The swirl flaps.
    Air box mod (removing plastic restricter plate)
    etc...just have a good search round.

    To be honest, it doesn't sound too bad, especially if itis just one blip every now and then...regular blips would be more worrying and indicative of EGR blockage, or No 3 injector plug going duff.

    hello robsey im a new guy to the world of diesel ,just wondering if you could explain abit about this no3 injecter thing cheers mate ..

    Your profile shows you have a 2.2DTi
    Can you confirm that it is indeed a CDTI, and if so which one?

    yep it is just a little blip only in 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear apart from that its all good, what its not swirl flaps as i went to see my local garage and its not the egr as this would restrict the power, but if u can explain abit bout the 3rd injector thing plz

    my engine light came on an the car started missing, but after 2k it would stop missing but no power had it on the machine it read p0203 cylinder 3 injector circuit open. showed it to a mate of mine he pushed the injector plug and the car went mint and has been since, the clip basically wasnt coneccted properly.

    It might be worthwhile replacing the plug for a new modified one, or tiewrapping it so it doesn't come loose again

    hi,did my 3rd injector plug( 3rd from left/looking at car from front ) cost me £12.77 inc vat in aug 09. original plug is yellow the new one is blue ( see if its be done ?) stopped the slight misfire. - big thanks forum -

    Yes i have same problem misfire so i took it to the garage today and found the 3rd injector plug broken the code came up like this p0203 imjector cylinder 3 circuit open can someone help me get a new plug ? Or do i have to buy the full loom ? Its the black plug with a yellow thing you pull out to remove thats broken. I have tie wrapped it for now the cars works like a dream but need to replace it.

    there is a kit from VX with 4 x new plugs on flying leads, they just need soldering on and shrink wrapping, no need for a new loom.
