    Default CDC40 conversion begins..

So, I've got a GID on the way, got the DAB aerial and the CDC40 is pending. Struggling to get the DAB box as they seem to be like rocking horse poop but there's always vx if push comes to shove, depending on how much they are (?).

Can I ask what extra I need in the way of a loom for the DAB and do I need any bits to enable the GID to physically replace the current BID??

    Cheers!

You need the GID to be one thats for the CD** series , i.e. a full canbus one , not any GID will work.

    Vehicle : Vectra C

    Trim : Energy

    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : 2005

    Mileage : 131,000

    Default

Astra H screen should fit the Vectra C, however Corsa C / D will not
Corsa C is wired similar to half can radios.

It is the Astra H radios that are different, as they have a distinct "V" down the front, whereas the vectra is a smooth curve across the front.

Just seen the DD in blue ink on the back of the screen...this is the same alpha code as my Vectra C CD70 GID.

ah robsey, the font of all audio knowledge! thought i might have dropped a clanger for a minute, never gave thought that there was GID on the pre facelift models. those screens are like rocking horse poo as well, had a hell of a job to find one.
got a mate in the trade looking at getting me the DAB box a bit cheaper straight from vx and then i'm nearly there!
only small issue is that the dealers lost all the manuals for the car inc audio codes so i'm just waiting on those atm as well.

i'm not entirely sure that there is, i've only ever seen them with "opera" on the front. maybe it just gets abbreviated to cdc40??
