They're not 'due' until 100k, but I changed mine at 87k. Oh and it's a belt.
If you have the dreaded swirl valve problem, then it's an ideal way of killing two birds with one stone.
just gave my car to have the belt changed, got the kit from dealers for £96 and few pence
do the water pump/aux belt ,at the same time. saves going back later.
i did the belt on mine at 100k and the belt is still perfect only the tensioners were a bit noisy also the water pump was still perfect with no wear in it whatsover
Should realistically be looking at 60k and no more before changing the timing belt/pulleys
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services
Ideally, you can ask for it to be checked at every service
As above, it should last to 100K miles
Once the car is out of warranty and/or above that mileage you may want to half the interval
Not sure if the cambelt also drives the water pump, if so then it can be wise to replace that at the same time
Also any other connected or driven belts, replace them at the same time
Did mine at 56k as the waterpump was noisy - better safe than sorry
