Push the pipe connector further onto the filter and then squeeze the release tabs, and pull off. I take it that they are a standard ramond type quick connector with 2 tabs opposite each other?

I have even had to use (modified) pliers to depress the tabs sometimes. This needs care though as to not cause damage.
