Default New Kenwood DVD Headunit/GPS help required

Just purchased a Kenwood DVD headunit with GPS. I have a few questions about the installation in my Signum.

    • Where have you installed the receiver unit? Under the front seats, boot.

    • Where would/have you install the GPS antenna? Please bear in mind that I do not have a sunroof.

    • Where is the parking sensor wire connected to on an automatic? It says connect to the vehicle parking brake detection switch harness.

Many thanks for your help in advance and I will post pictures of the install.

Not sure about the reciever but i believe for the aerial you can place it in the centre of the dash between the windscreen demisters.

As for the park switch i needs a link on to the parking brake (hand brake) warning light

dunno what the parking sensor is actually for,if its for watching dvd`s like on my head unit just connect it to any ground point(mine was to have the screen out while driving, not watchin anythin, just to see the mp3 folders)

Very true, to be completly "legal" it should be on the handbrake ground but any ground would suffice

    Thanks for the replies guys.
I thought that the parking sensor wire had to be connected to the handbrake. If this only stops you watching whilst driving then I will connect to ground.
