Question 302mm front brake discs and pads quote £221 + Vat

Just had a quote from the stealers for some new discs and pads for my siggy.. they want £158+Vat for the discs and £65+Vat for the pads.... Are those prices for real or have they made a mistake?

I can buy drilled and grooved EBC discs for £160 in VAT and delivery (£112 for non drilled and non grooved) from the bay.. likewise i can also get EBC redstuff pads for £57 in vat and delivery from there..

I am sure for not much more i could pick up a complete set of 314 if i looked about...

Am i missing something here or whats my options other than what i have pointed out from EBC..?

That is the price for separate pads and discs, ask them to fit a disc and pad kit they are about 70 quid

Ok, called back the same stealer, spoke with with the same parts guy (not sure if he recognised my voice at this point), i asked him to check the part number given above and he confirmed it is for a 302mm disc and pad set they do do have in stock, at this point I gave my name and asked him to put them aside for me with ARBs i ordered on the earlier phone call so he then knew is was me again, but said nothing regarding his earlier quote...

Am tempted by these though with a set of mintex pads (extra)... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MakeTrack=true

but never heard of the disc manufacturers brand 'Motorsport Tuning & Engineering Company'. Does anybody have any fedeback on these...? Will they be better than the GM stock brakes?

thanks for the part number info guys..
