    confused how 2 on cleaning preface boost sensor 3.0 v6 ?

    morning all, as above really want to clean my boost sensor and would love reading a how 2 first, had a look on here and there isnt one, would also like to clean egr, again no how 2. I have noticed there is not much info on here regarding the 3.0 v6 or have i missed it ????? Thanks

    Forget the EGR cleaning on the V6. It's way too complicated and if your car's not giving your problems I'd just leave it.
    Boost sesnor is at the back bank in the inlet manifold. It's the little black box thingie with HITACHI BOOST written on it. Take it out and spray it with brake cleaner.

    Thanks celes, how far down from the engine cover is it?ie 6inches etc, right or left side?

    You have to move a box like thing with vacuum pipes above the boost sensor. It's on the right side, about 6-7 inches from the turbo.
    I personally woulnd't bother with it. Is your car giving you problems?

    absoultly nothing! but everyone on here is raving about it so wanted to try it! do you have a picture of location? may do a how 2 when i do it

    There is/was a pic on here with its location, Remove the top cover, its in the corner near the turbo under some pipes/cables.
