    Default re turbo not spooling

up date from previous post , figured its a turbo prob so i pulled the front of the car off to access the turbo . sure enough the turbo had sheared its shaft and self detonated .
i figure its been over boosting for some time hence the intercooler expansion and cracking , so i contact vx who do an exchange unit for £473+vat but are unavailable so they offer me a new unit at the same price (good result i think).
im also going to replace boost sensor & solinoid + vacum box & pipes.
hope this will sort it out , please please chime in if you think ive missed something , dont want this to happen twice . many thanks

i would not bother with vac box or pipes if they look ok but would advise on oil change if has not been done for a while also if you doing it yourselve prime turbo oil supply with fresh oil when fittting

up date , fitted new turbo plus manifold sensor and solinoid valve , all seems well so far , alot more responsive and quieter than it was , the manifold sensor was so crudded up i doubt it could sense anything so i guess that could have been the start of it all .
200 + miles to go on monday morning so that will be the big test , fingers crossed

should be good but like others have said wouldn't worry bout the pipes or vac box late models don't have them. good luck
