Springs - I want comfort

As to be expected I'm a victim of shappy Vx springs. Looked at some Eibach kits, but I don't really fancy a firm ride. I'd like my Signum to be a comfortable motorway cruiser, not a boy racer car.
Any ideas on which springs to fit? Opel quoted me 280€ for the front springs only, but a local shop could do them for 180€.

Honestly eibachs aren't as back shattering as you thing, yes if you hit a big pothole you know it but generally they are pretty good

my eibachs and b6's are bumpy round town - but as soon as you get upto speed 40 mph+ the ride is smooth and very very comfortable

Atleast the Eibach would survive the pothole, i'm not so sure about the stock spring

I was worried about ride comfort too

But the Eibach i have now are more comfortable than the sri/sports suspension that was fitted

The car just seems to ride better over bumps/speed bumps

Even the wife commented on it

which is a good sign

I'll agree with that, bumpy roads are harsher but smooth undulating roads are just nicely controlled

I also find them excellent for towing due to the stiffer properties

Thing is, I'd have to declare them as a mod, which over here costs 100€ (for first mod).

There are huge pot holes everywhere here so anything close to a harsh suspension is not an option really.

Do you have the Opel equivalent of Vauxhall's Trade Club over there? Vx Trade Club allows you to buy service parts and consumables at trade price. Exhausts and springs are roughly half price.
