Default Vectra-C Travel Sickness with Kids.

Just a quick poll asking how many of you have had your kids suffer from travel sickness in your Vectras?

The reason for asking is my 3 year old keeps saying her tummy is hurting when on journeys, but luckily, not actually being sick.

There's three options on the poll. the poll, from my point of view, is not applicable to Signums, but applicable to any Vectra regardless of power, suspension and trims.

Personally our daughter is fine in the back, but the Mrs always feels sick in the back. There was a thread a few years back on the very same subject an loads of guys mentioned the kids getting sick in the back.

my father in law had this problem with my wifes two wee sisters. one was 2 the other 3 at the time and they were sick everytime they were in the vec for more than 10 minutes. he thought it was the high back windows and the kids not seeing out properly.

Yeah, I did a search Rushy to see if it had been done before, but couldn't find a thread.

This is exactly what the wife and I are thinking.

I was really wanting some serious data as although it could be a passing phase, I don't want her feeling queasy every journey.

Let's see how the poll progresses

our 4 year old was sick in our last vec. Only the once & on a long (5 hour) trip. Used "travel ease" I think they are called, & been fine since.

The situation had improved with a booster seat that enabled her to see out properly, added to getting a bit taller.

It then went backwards with the addition of a Nintendo DS into the equation: DS is now banned from my car

That was my though as well. On long journeys I put the car seat in the middle, she gets full view out of both windows and the front.

No problems here. Wife and youngest sit in the back and the eldest daughter sits in the front.

Everyone plays their DS' too! The eldest reads voraciously which I couldn't do...as a passenger.

I think the smoothness of the ride due to the big wheelbase may also not help with the disorientation which commonly causes travel sickness. Modern selt belt laws do help with booster seats etc raising them up.

I remember there being four of us in the back of a Sierra all the way down to Devon, and back again, and only the person who fought to get into the middle could see! Roast beef monster munch always used to cure my queasiness!
