No you won't melt anything. Get a HID kit that's CANBus-compatible.

Not the best, best for the price maybe, given that quite a few people have had to send components back to be replaced. www.HIDS4U.co.uk have better quality stuff, but you pay more as well.

yeah but hids-direct have very good service as well, have seen lots of threads where people have been sent 2 sometimes even 3 different kits free of charge to get them to work perfectly.

I've had 2 facelift kits from them and not had a single problem. I think the reason there are more people with problems from hids-direct is because that is where most people get them from due to discount and reputation.

Got mine from www.hids4us.co.uk/h7.htm you need the premium canbus kit ones. (note, not the same address as hids4u.co.uk). Granted a few people had a problem a little while ago where demand couldn't meet supply, but touch wood I've had no problems with the ones I ordered from them.

colour, closer to 4300k is whiter & brighter, closer to 10000k is bluer and a bit dimmer. Most popular is 6000k I think. Have a look on ebay at some HID kits, some of them have colour charts or photographs of the different ones to give you an idea.
