if you want to do it properly then get a remap - but it'll cost.
if you want raw power for little money then get a tuning box - but it may cost in the long run depending how hard you drive it!

i've got a tuning box... i enjoy the massive power hike for little money... have been running for over a year problem free. i enjoy the power to the fullest but try to feed it in a bit more carefully in 1st!

Just looking at stats, there will be far more problems with box'd cars than remap'd cars.... tells its own story, boxes are just too crude for the CDTi to handle long term (or short term in some cases).

I've had both on my CDTi - I started with a CRD2 - lots of extra power, screwed up the computer mpg, not very kind to the engine & I didn't like the way the power was delivered. I changed to a BSR remap & much happier. Everything works as it did before just bags more power when you need it. The BSR PPC is a bit expensive now but I'd definitely go with the remap

i can heartily recommend a BSR remap.

had that done to my last sri (a 120 cdti) and it was quicker than the standard 150 cdti sri that i've just got. plus a bit better on the consumption too, alll round winner. makes me tempted to get the 150 remapped as well, now that would be a beast...

    only downside, about 500 notes.

I was under the impression that they had gone up in price a fair bit but LMF are doing them for £546 - The big advantage is that the map can be removed/reinstalled whenever you want (ie going in for service) & it only takes about 2 minutes to do - highly recommended

Ive had a price from a company call gotboost for £300 which is also rolling road tested before and after with an estimated increase of 35 - 50bhp.
thats a tidy price isnt it?
