Default Foot Pain In A Veccy

Was on a night out last night and got a taxi home, Vectra SRI turns up, excellent couldnt have picked a better taxi myself I think to myself.

but, within about 2minutes of sitting in the vectra, the soles of my feet are really sore and its not like I have big hard soled shoes on, just mocaisins (sp) and I can feel my feet go a bit numb.

had plenty of taxis home on night outs before and never suffered this in any of the cars bar the vectra.

sure as hell, today, stuck a pair of trainers on, sat in the passenger and rear seats for a few minutes each and feet hurt a bit and had some numbness

anyone else ever been a passenger in 1 and found this??

bit ****ed off tbh that my 10grands worth of car must be very uncomfortable on the feet for any passengers.

I found you have to adjust to the car when I got mine, bit of a shock after the Omega I can tell you, I find my Brogues and laceups hurt the ball of my foot, trainers I'm okish in, but thats only from the drivers side point of view.

Edit time, now you mention it, has anyone also found they tend to sit on the door side of the drivers seat more than the rest of the seat, it's not only the Vec, I had it in various Vx's over the yrs, it's like the seat must not be fully in line with the wheel.

right heres the weird part, the Vectras floor never ever used to give me pains in the soles of my feet until last night after noticing it in the taxi.

didnt matter whether I was driving, a front seat passenger or sitting in the back seat, it never used to hurt them, and now I notice it constantly.

really annoying when your trying to drive now, and when my dad drove it today and I was in the passenger seat couldnt relax for my sore feet.

Vauxveteran - I noticed this sitting towards the door side of the seat more than the rest, very noticeable in the vectra passenger seat, but still noticeable when driving and I notice it when driving my mk3 astra too, although its not as noticeable in the astra as it has sports seats with big thick bolsters on both sides of the seat so it holds you in the "middle" of the seat more.

There is a reason for the off center seat but for the life of me can't remember it at the moment - will put that down to too much beer and a broken heart....

also the seat seems to lean towards the centre because i seem to slip towards the gear stick when driving giving me a soar back.

I can see loads of curtains twitching all over the country as Vectra and Signum drivers are being watched sitting in their cars late at night trying out the back seats
