    Default Hi mileage motors

Following on from mt Beetle thread.http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103924
What do you think about high milage motors then. Say about 50/70K.I fancy the idea of Larisa having a Vectra C but the ones we have seen are high mileage. I suppose if they have been serviced correctly then they should be ok. I recon you can get a good motor "ie" Vectra or Signum for not too much money. But as I say all the ones we have seen have a good mileage on them. Probably average for their age though.

purchased my 2.2DTI with 63k on now approaching 75k , only thing engine wise to go was the crank pulley which is common on that engine at that mileage, very happy with my purchase , runs like a dream

Mines got 80k on it, no problems what so ever.

70/80k used to be high milage, but with cars reaching 150k with little or no problem not I don't consider 80k to be high.

My C's got 111k full service history and sailed through her MOT with no advisories, as said before, if they have been looked after milage isn't really a concern, main thing as long as your happy

    Vehicle : Facelift Insignia/Corsa D

    Trim : LE/VXR

    Engine : 2.0 cdti/1.6 Turbo

    Year : 13/07

My DTi SRi cost me 3.5k a year and a half ago with 81k on the clock and no service history.

In that year and a half I have changed the springs (who hasn't), fitted four new brake pipes (due to rust not wear obviously) a new front wheel bearing and the rear upper control arms. I am now on 92k.

The engine has had a new aux belt tensioner but still runs sweet with no nasty rattles or smoke. It's used about half a litre of oil in 11k which ain't too bad
