Beetle
Does anyone have any experiance with the VW Beetle. The wife has her eye on one. It is an 02 plate with 71.000 With a 1.6 engine. Going for£4229. I don,t know if this is a good price. Nor how good these cars are anyway. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
that sounds a lot of money for an 8 year old golf
think they are selling cheaper than that mate

Only a golf with a shell invented by hitler on top. Window regulators pack up quite often and can be pricey due to it being a complete inner door basically, changed a few recently, Airbag connection issues under seats but being vw they can be quite reliable.
From what I here mate there a bit of a dog. Golf with a very heavy lid. Put that weight on the 1.6 and its not a good combination IMO.

It was a W reg 2000 2.0 silver. Paid £2300 for it but was high milage
They aren't practical and are only 4 seaters but as good as a golf and look good for a old-ish car
My wife has a 06 cab she absolutely adores it,she would get rid of me before the car
