Default Spanner light won't go out

    Hi guys
I have found this forum a great source of useful info. Hopefully, someone can help with this.

    Signum 2.0DTi 50K

Two weeks ago, i came out of work, jumped in the car and started it, then it went into limp mode and spanner light came on before i could drive off.

Turned off engine and restarted it no problem, no limp mode.

Now every morning the spanner light comes on for a minute or so and goes out.

I understand this to be because an incident has occured and the light is on to tell you.

It has not gone into limp mode since, just the light coming on when starting from cold.

I borrowed a reader and got codes P1105 and P0105. I erased these codes thinking that will turn the light off, but it hasn't.

The light comes on every morning still.

When i scan with the reader again, no codes present.

    Any ideas?

Do i have a problem? or is it a random incident?

I have read the "how to" clean the boost sensor and happy to get that done if its required.

Just want the damn spanner light to go away....gives me the shivers every time i see it.

    thanks in advance.

Would a code be stored for the reader to see if it was glow plugs?
(had glowplug changed last year at 35K)

P1105 Dual Alternator Upper Fault (what ever that is !)

P0105 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction

As I am not sure that an alternator fault would cause limp mode, then I would start with cleaning the MAP sensor and check wiring. If you disconnect the battery while you do this, the light may not come back on again.

i had them both to do with MAP sensor.

What are the consequences of disconnecting battery?
(stupid question, but you never know)

Disconnecting battery can clear fault light (as long as you have cleared the problem of course)

make sure you have the radio code before you disconect the battery just in case!, or you will have to pay to retrieve it from vx.

You should have a red car pass with the vehicle.
