Default Brake Disc & Pad Replacement

Having a good nose around the site for what rear brakes and discs I have getting confused!

Have a 1.9CDTI 150 SRi 05 plate and the rears scored a fair bit.

Anyone know what I would have size wise, also how much am I looking at to get replaced?

    Many thanks

I got rear pads and discs from Vauxhall through the Trade club for £52.20 all in. Just told them the reg and they gave me the 278 solid rear discs and corresponding pads.

Changed them myself with the aid of the disc how2 and the pads how2. Took me about an hour per side but I am not very good at all at this sort of thing.

Trade club is one of the benefits of joining vectra-c.com

I looked at the Mintex sets on ebay and was not convinced they were quality discs but I am maybe just being particular.

I used a set if fine nosed pliers, was a bit fiddly at first but worked fine.

Not many tools required really, just a decent socket set, allen keys and a T20 torx bit.

mintex are a very reputable disc but i think that discs are of a personal taste a lot of the time ,but i wouldnt be concerned that mintex are low quality mucker coz they aint IMHO though

The ones I found were advertised as

'Vectra C rear 278mm Discs and Mintex pads' so the pads were mintex but the discs were not! If they were then they should be 'Mintex discs and pads'

I just went for standard vauxhall stuff, the brakes on the C are pretty damn good anyway.

Just to add, if you change disks you will need new caliper carrier bolts and some thread lock, there only a couple of quid from VX. TBH I don't know why there not included in the kit as its VX themselves who advice the renewal of the bolts.
