gear box oil

when my car is cold the gear change between first and second it "crunchy"
i have been having a read around and read that you can change the oil on the f40 gearbox, my car is a 3.0 cdti so i think this is the gearbox i have,
it says to put in 2.2 ltrs of manual transmission fluid and that should sort it out could anyone confirm this is correct, as i once it all turns up i will be booking the car in to have the springs, ARB's droplinks and rear trailing arms replaced and was thinking to get this done at the same time,

If you have the F40, then you take out the 3.2 litres that are in there, and put in 2.4 litres (not 2.2); although the later cars already come with 2.4 litres.

Sorry to 'hijack' but anyone got an idea of the price for the filler and sump plugs??..the sockets on both of mine are us...

the drain plug should be changed anyway on the F40 box as it is a one use item only,the new plugs can be reused

thanks..the original plugs are chewed up and a royal pita to get out n will deffo need replacing. Just wondering on price of them,not that i got much choice.

About two quid for the drain plug, and a pound for the top plug.
