    Default tv aerial

    right can someone recommend me a tv aerial please, it`s for outside, suitable for free view, digital. i`ve been quoted £180 + £30 per extra point got 4 in total £270. i`m more than capable of installing my own just could do with some advice thanks guys.

    It depends on your signal strength/quality but a 'normal' aerial off the shelf from B&Q etc should be fine. I have fitted several in the loft and they work fine. Sometimes you need to have them mounted outside and you can get 'high gain' ones if required.

    As for multiple points, you can simply connect multiple leads to a single aerial if the signal is good enough. Otherwise I have fitted an aerial in the loft for each interior lead/point. It's cheaper and easier buying extra aerials than any complicated power booster signal splitter.

    If you are a going for a new aerial and 4 points, I would get a distribution amp fitted in the loft also as splitting the cable with a 4 way will reduce the signal quite badly.

    As for an aerial and amp, ebay is your best bet for all of it.

    havent you thought of sky and just getting freeview with them its just 30 pound for the card and you just pay for the install.as some digital aerials cost about the same
