loosing a friend

Sold my car yesterday...

Going to miss its shapely rear lots!

It was touch and go if I was going to have to take it to a dealer and walk away with peanuts - but after three attempts:

•First guy seemed keen but a bit weird - arranged to come and have a look at it - then didn’t turn up!!

•Second guy came and had a test drive - he showed interest and said he would call me back - never heard from him again!

•Third guy - nice chap - came with his wife - had a drive and bought it together with my spare wheels and grill! - not quite the price I wanted but at least its going to a decent home on Tuesday.

Just as well as we are leaving home on Friday - cutting it fine!!

So its sitting in my garage waiting to leave - feels very sad - I might just give it one last wash for old times sake - how sad am I!

Down side of this is that we are borrowing a focus off my other half’s mum- which when I first drove work's focus a few years ago felt great - now after the signum its like going backwards 10 years - oh how car design moves on without you realising!

Nearly time for me to sign off - but I will keep looking in here from time to time!

This forum has been outstanding in providing me with lots of useful info about my car other stuff and life in general! - lots of great people put in a lot of effort to make it a great place to be - and there are always lots of great people posting to keep the chat informative, lively and good fun. I myself have not got into it as much as I would have liked - live gets in the way! - but I truly appreciate all the knowledge I have obtained as well as the - albeit unfortunately few, people I have met.

Well done and keep it up.

As per my post in your for sale thread, I'm glad you sold it before having to take it to the dealer - where you'd have probably got even less for it.

still don't know what I am going to do in Mel - but hot on the list (if I am allowed!!) is: flying lessons!! - and get more into photography with my new camera which is loverly!!

may even try to get some money out of taking pics - have got a bit of an ide which I may float by you D at some point!! - Thanks m8 for all the cam advice it was v. useful.
