    Default Traffic Film

I noticed that there is a good coating of traffic film on my cars windows.
So I have tried to remove it by.
    Polishing with Megs"#82 polish.
Polishing again with some Ensiett glass polish.
Then I topped it off by putting a coat of KP1000 on the rear window and the side windows, except the drivers and passenger front windows. Also I did not put any sealent on the wind screen.
I used my machine polisher and a black spot pad for this. ( a lot easier and quicker than by hand).
I look forward to see if it does any good.
I have tried claying them before. But did not think it made much difference.
Any one have any suggestions how they remove the traffic film off their car windows.

Hi Ken I have tried ammonia in the past. It works well too.
Might try it again, if what I have just tried did not work. Mind you if you get a good sniff of ammonia it does tend to clear your head......

It's the greasy film that builds up on the inside of the screen that I hate & it's murder to remove without getting smearing, have you any good tips for removing this?

I hate that too. But find cleaning the inside of the glass regularly does help.
I use Meguires glass cleaner, it seems to work, and smells nice too.

I reckon that would probably help I bought some round Microfibre pads from Tesco some time ago & I find they work much better than loose cleaning towels etc & they're much easier to use too
