Default cleaned egr today well impressed

cleaned my egr and boost sensor today, car seems to be smoother and the power seems to be better, gave it a good run gave it a booting and when i looked in my rear mirror the police was there i thought here we go they followed me for a good 2 miles untill i pulled outside the house

i think in high revs its way better now, before i would be in high revs and car wouldnt move, it would just be the deisel noise, now its shifts

heres some pics of before and after

Looking Good there Chris. What did you use to clean it.
Wish i had the balls to do mine. Mine is running ok thou with no problems. So don't really think it needs doing, but am intrigued as to what condition it looks like inside.

Edit: Just read your previous post, Carb cleaner used. So how did you clean the inside part that you said u was struggling with?

just carb cleaner, i was shocked when i seen how black it was, really easy to do tbh, its better in high revs now and engine seems quiet

EDIT: inside i used a paint brush and tooth brush and alot of carb cleaner

Might brave it in the summer, and give it a go.

really easy to do, i would say tho use some grips to get connector off,

i know very little about cars and its ever since ive had the vectra ive done so much DIY on it, but i would rather do it myself if i can,

Job well done there mate, took my EGR valve off quite a while ago, but found it was ok , however ended up removing the thing as a future precaution and fitting a blanking plate and cheater (bit of electronics that fools ecu into thinking the valve is still there!!) otherwise flags up EML , cheater only works on the Z22SE though.
    Cheers Pete
