water leak in n/s/f foot well

i got in the car this morning to find the n/s/f carpet swimming in water any ie=deas were and how it got there????????
window was fully closed heater still works so no the matrix


any ideas guys

Check the drain hole next to the pollen filter (under the wiper scuttle panel)

If the hole is blocked the water builds up and comes down through the filter

As above, if its that full of water you're best changing the pollen filter too, as this will cause your windows to mist up.
