what would you class as run in CDTI ENGINE

hi people just was wondering what milage you would class a cdti engine as run in ie 10k 20k ???

I'd say more like 40-50k, from then onwards power normally starts to drop again

In the engine technical specifications the power and torque charts are after an engine breakin of 5000km equivalent.

So maybe that is realistic, as they will have knocked off the high spots by then and power output will have settled down.

Well I'd give it at least the first 1000 miles before you start booting it everywhere

I'd say mine improved at about 50k. The engine just felt much smoother.
