Anyone used music magpie?

I have just sent away my whole cd/dvd/bluray collection to them in the promise of 70quid return(not very good as the collection cost four figures if i were to add it up). IF my collection meets their criteria.

Only one thing worries me. In the small print it says that they wont return anything if it doesn't meet there terms. (So. this means they'll keep it and sell it at no cost to them?)

I use media servers in my house now and have no need for the cd's ect. they were just taking up space

as in magpie that you can sell your music and dvds etc?

i prefer cex.co.uk and it tells you how much they would give on the website

I've used Music Magpie 5 or 6 times over the last year, as we're clearing out the CD & DVD collection (again as all music on a central server).

Never had any problem with them. If any of the cd/dvd are badly scratched then they might reject, or if the case if broken they charge you for a replacement. But I have never had any problems, and what they have quoted me online is what I have received.

Also if you have a large enough order, they used to organise to collect by courier as it was quicker than sending via royalmail.

Cheers guys. Yeah they sent a courier to pick up and I received an email today saying that they have received my order. So fingers crossed that all my cd's are in good enough nik

I too have moved all music and dvd onto a central server. I have no use for the actual discs.

Maybe we should start a cd/dvd sharing thing? I could send out all (or a selection) of my cds and dvds to someone (no money changes hands) and in return they send me theirs? For the cost of only the postage we could build our home collections?!

What do people think?
