Tell them absolutely everything and if they say that its fine it won't make a difference, make sure you get some written acknowledgement. If you don't tell them of something and you make a claim, and they find out about the undisclosed mod, they WILL NOT pay out. That will be just the excuse they need. Don't give them the satisfaction. They will just get you on whats called 'failure to disclose' and you are absolutely banged to rights, no getting out of it.

Its a bit difficult with cars these days as you can have a basic model but it can come with some top spec stuff from factory,as most of this was optional extra's you could pay for from new.
Things like Navi, wheels, interior ? or where they only available with certain models

The same as what has been said above.

I used to work for a couple of car insurance companies. The claims guys took great pleasure in finding out about modifications to cars and them not being declared.

as above tell them everything you have done to your car.....even better send them a full spec list and pictures so they can actualy see the condition of your car, my ins company have got these 2 item's and even though they will only pay out for a standard car if a total loss, if it can be repaired it will be repaired to how it is now not standard..

Yes, always declare mods. They're OK with us anyway, except roll cages & nitrous.
