Default This could be one for the 3.0cdti boffins..

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know what the silver looking canister with what appears to have a bolt head in it, directly in front of the oil sump is underneath the engine on the v6 cdti please?

I dont have a picture unfortunately but when i was changing the oil yesterday i noticed that some oily substance had collected at the bottom of it and i was wondering if that could be the reason why my gearchange was stiff first thing in the morning?

    Thanks for any advice

A bit of a stiffy in the morning is perfectly ok.... nothing to worry about at all.

Once all the oils get moved about a bit and a little temperature gets into everything, you should notice clutch/gears nice and smooth. If not, check your fluid levels.
