PayPal and sending payments as a gift

We would like to strongly advise all members, when buying items from other members on the site and paying via PayPal, to NEVER send the payment as a gift. Should you have got to know the person well and feel you can trust them, then there shouldn't be a problem, however if you don't know them and you send payment as a gift, you are not afforded the protection you normally would be, should the deal go awry
