Has anyone noticed a change in car performance, when using super unleaded (97/98 ron) in the vvt engine ?
Might be in my head but mine seems to like the 95 ron better

My 2.2 Direct definitely likes the 97 Ron better, performance is much improved along with better cold running and slightly improved M.P.G.

Isthe extra cost worth it ? only time will tell

I have a 2.2 Direct and have been testing shell v-power and I am getting about 2 mpg extra on the trip computer with it. The overall performace of the car seems better but this could be in my head it costs more but with the extra mpg it is working out about the same as standard unleaded and it is supposed ?? to be cleaner and better for the engine

OK, mine's not a VVT but I've noticed no difference at all between vanilla unleaded, super unleaded or Tesco's 99 ron. I mostly use Shell unleaded with the odd tank of Tesco's unleaded when they're doing the 5p per litre off.
