    If it's a 2003 then it has a turbo.

I've never driven an auto and I think i'd find it tough to not have total control of the gears.

I have 57k on mine and chipped uk said it has barely run in, as for a auto i think it's worth a drive. They give the same performance figures for the auto and manual. On the Dyno Mark's GSI got 2 bhp more than mine. If it has all the gear on it, that must be worth a look. Do you have a link for it??

Autobox normally gives up at about 70k, if it goes higher they generally run on for ages without trouble, 120k at least.

    VV..

Any of the last 4 auto's that i've owned have all passed that..these are working cars.. the last auto i had is still running round at 210,000 miles..

The secret folks??? Change the Autobox fluid every 60,000 miles...it's the old liquid spanner again..

    Spikey..

the beast is avaliable for testdrives..

I'd buy another auto,( cause i have to) and these newer tiptronic boxes are an absolute hoot!! Even Big Phil liked the way it drove...

I think it's going to be one long test drive this weekend..

too true!! my personal record stands at 205,000 still using no oil or water.

If it's been serviced in accordance to the book, and used for business(motorway) miles then i'd not worry too much..

Chances are they go rid of it as it will be wanting a cambelt now and bottled at the dealers costs.. cambelts are easy if you know a bloke with a locking kit..

V6 petrols are a long lived engine, even worked hard, if you just keep servicing them every 6-10k..oil and filter is cheap prevention..this is my 3rd V6 and i'll prob get another!! these are great engines..
