    Angry New key hundred quid!!!!

Hi I have just spent the past hour waiting in the vauxhall dealer for them to reset my keys. After the hour they inform me that they cannot reset them as there is a loose contact on both keys???!!! This contact keeps resetting the keys and causing the program to get lost every time. I did n't bother getting new keys from them. The problem I have is every time I lock the car now manually with the key on the door lock it locks fine but when i go to unlock it manually the alarm is going off until the key is put into the ignition. i have took one of the keys apart and i cant see much wrong or anything loose. One of them the buttons dont seem to work so thats fine will disregard that one, the other one however when you press the buttons it comes up with the red led flashing on the circuit board. Does any one have any ideas on how to get the remote central locking fixed please??? could a cheap key off of ebay sort this ????? Thanks in advance.

Mine cost £65 all in for a 3 button flip from the dealers programmed takes 5 mins max all you need is the car pass and they order it in pre-cut ready to go.

should the dealers not all have a set price instead of one area being charged different to the next?

No thy are a business and they don't live in an ideal world and like many other franchises will buy from the same source but charge a mark up to cover other overheads like rates insurances etc and the perceved wealth of the local people that vary dependant upon their location so it pays to shop around.

Your button micro switch is sticking. You can buythese off eBay and solder on your self. For the cost it's worth a try!
