Default Getting Eibach's. Got a question...

Okay, so I've just discovered I've two busted front springs.

I'm going to get a set of Eibach's. I've read something on here talking about 'sleeves'. What are they, and if I need them where do I get them?

Also, just to verify. It's a 1.9 CDTi SRi Vectra, so this is the set I need (in 1061-1130kg), right? http://www.lmfvauxhall.co.uk/store/p...at=2286&page=1

    Eibach E10-65-007-02-22 correct

Sleeves are Vx part No 13178464 - green, front only at the bottom of the spring & stop it squeaking

    Thanks Ian.

Are the sleeves not already on my car, or what? I can't seem to find that part on any site online.

They were a field remedy to stop the springs making weird noises. Its a VX part.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I give autovaux a ring & they sent me two for £5.36 including postage

Mine 13178464 come as blue ? but they fit on my Eibach fine E10-65-007-02-22

if you look at the bottom of yor old spring they should be there

but you are better off with new ones

with my luck recently, i'd be safer replacing the car.

for the £3-4 it costs for them, thought it might be worth getting it over and done with.

    There are 2 different sleeves:-

Blue for Std springs - Vx part No 13178463
Green for sport springs - Vx part No 13178464 (use on Eibach springs)

My local Vx garage only stock the green ones so I guess you can use them on either spring & they can be trimmed to size if they're too big anyway.

They're really only specified as a mod for the standard Vx springs to stop them squeaking but for about £3.50 it's not worth missing them off aftermarket springs - put a smear of Copper grease on the contact area of the spring seat too
