150 miles 3 shops £350 and still not happy

Well after my recent thread regarding some car problems, kind of "finished" work early today as Vauxhall rang and said my new locking wheel nut key arrived.

Yes i tightened the bolts to far and it snapped. :-(

I have now undone them slightly and will learn from this lesson haha.

Next was a local shop followed by one a little further out. because all the parts were not located in one shop, and i'm in an impatient mood

Got everything i need but will check shortly. Sadly they state on the box what they are, so can anyone goes whats under the bag haha.

The reason I am not happy is because of missing a specific tool it wont be sorted until next monday, so car isnt moving.

This is the top of the spring drivers side. It was jammed in the spring and I have been driving it since thursday with no noises.

Removed this piece and it now sounds like springs twanging going round corners and such so gonna leave it at home til monday.

Can you recommend anywhere to purhase spring clamps, and are there any common bolts that tend to snap or break, that it may be worth purchasing before hand?

Best bet would be ebay or halfrauds

or take shocks off and take springs with you to a local tyre place and give them a £10 to swap them over for you

I got my spring compressors from halfrauds and they work fine.

ayup rich,

i am nowhere near competent to attempt this, got a friend who is a little bit more mechanically minded helping me on monday, otherwise i'm gonna come a knocking haha.

Its just really bad timing, with only having the wheels refurbed "properly" only 1-2 weeks ago.

My local garage wanted £200 to fit them. eeeek
