Default gurgling noise from fuel tank

hello i was hoping someone would be able to help me.

my car vectra 2006 150 1.9cdti sri was involved in a accident to the passenger side middle to rear it has been repaired now but took about 4 weeks from accident till garage could repair it i still used it every day but when i tried to get speed up sometimes the engine managment light would come on and go into limp home mode or cut out with a strange gurgling noise from under the rear seats (fuel tank) even with engine off it would keep hearing the noise (gurggling) for about 30 seconds. but when i restarted the car it would run ok again until i tried to speed up. but when i full the car with fuel it does not happen? until it goes below 3/4 tank?

before it went into the garge i told them about this and they said dont worrie its only cause the weather is -10 at the time and its too cold for diesel (lol) even i did not fall for that. as every one else was driving ok and my truck was fine.

anyone know what can be wrong as they and my insurance have said in there option the fault was not caused by the accident and now what me to take it to a vauxhall dealership to go the machine to get the fault code and i have to pay.

please help me. thanks in advance danny

    I've got this problem too....

When the ignition is turned on the pump in the diesel tank pumps fuel under low pressure into the diesel filter... If there is any air in the filter it will be blown back into the diesel tank until it reaches the correct/pressure no more air is present...

You either have one of two things wrong, a) You've got an air leak somewhere slightly (still trying to trace mine, could be the leak off pipes up near the injectors) or b) You have a faulty pump which is on its way out...

edit: Re-reading the location of your accident, it could have jarred a pipe and made something loose?

what do you think about the insurance and the garage saying that in there opinion it was not caused by the crash ? it was not there before it as you could not have driven it as dangerous as could go into limp mode on moterway.

and will the main dealers be able to tell what is wrong by putting it on there fault machine?

    thanks in advance again
