Remap! I'm soo happy with VXR jobbie, also theres a new contender on the block such as Chipped UK. Its the way to go mate.. No extra smoke, smoother delivery of power etc etc.

Personally I'm now waiting on VXR to take their mods to the next level. A larger intercooler and pipework plus a bigger turbo too. They reckon they should reach 240bhp with it on the 1.9CDTi

Re-map is definately the way forward Mickey, really happy with mine, so smooth and just pulls and pulls, really have to look at rev counter now, before remap car died at around 4500rpm now revs off the clock very easily. Have to keep an eye on rev counter now as it's so easy to keep revving

Sounds to me like the box is turned up too far though mate, I had some issues with smoke and just turned profile down slightly, no smoke and no noticable loss of power.

Don't think anyone with a remap has had limp mode problems? (I will stand corrected if anyone has). AFAIK it's been folks with boxes that have had this problem?

Robbie, i got mine from Andrew and i made sure he sealed it at the end , so i couldn't turn it up or down.....It had "Harry profile" on it..

No probs here Mickey, only ever had limp mode when turned box up too far, now done 600+miles since re-map and no problems at all
